Older electronics have special needs due to the effects of aging. Controls and
switches become oxidized and intermittent, electrolytic capacitors dry out, dial
lamps burn out, open reel, 8 track and cassette decks need cleaning, lubrication,
replacement of rubber parts, alignment and more. Record changers need to be
cleaned, lubricated and require a new stylus or cartridge. Operating an older
tape deck or record player without periodic maintenance can result in worn
capstan or motor bearings and/ or other serious damage to your unit.
